Export documents explained

ABC's partner organisation, Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce, is ready to make the whole documentation process as straightforward as possible, and can ensure that your goods travel with ease, providing you with peace of mind.

As an exporter you have already developed a successful product and now all you have to do is deliver your goods on time and ensure that you receive your payment quickly. This can be a simple process when you know how but understanding which document is required for each shipment to each destination can be difficult. Our Chamber Documentation officers can give support and guidance.

 


EC Certificate of Origin

A certificate needed to meet overseas customs requirements to qualify for (normally) zero import duty as part of International Trade agreements. Sometimes also needed to comply with banking requirements where trade is conducted under Letters of Credit.

Arab-British Certificate of Origin

Similar to the EC Certificate of Origin but used for exports to the Arab League States.

EUR1

Customs Movement Certificate issued in the country of export to enable claims for preferential import duty levels on goods being exported to EC preferential partner countries.

A.TR

Customs Movement Certificate for goods in EC free circulation (i.e. duty paid) being exported to Turkey. A.TR allows import into Turkey without payment of customs duty.

 

Other Documents & Publications - Chambers also stock a wide range of other documents and certificates often needed by exporters e.g. Standard Shipping Notes, Dangerous Goods Notes, Certificates of Value & Origin as well as Incoterms 2010 (book and wall chart).
